The Crown, Lewes

November 1, 2019

Cheesmur are pleased to have been appointed to carry out the conversion of the Grade II* listed Crown Inn in Lewes to provide three Commercial units at ground floor and basement level along with nine residential apartments on the ground, first and second floor. As well as the careful interior refurbishment of this historic building we will be providing associated refuse and cycle storage and external landscaping. Built in the reign of King Charles I, The Crown Inn occupies a commanding position in the centre of Lewes. The earliest mention of the Inn was as The Black Lyon in 1638 when Henry Townsend was the landlord.
