Cheesmur successfully delivered a comprehensive refurbishment and extension scheme at the Hollington Youth Hub, transforming a historic Victorian site into a modern, future‑proofed facility designed to inspire, support and empower the local community.
Blending technical precision with respect for the building’s heritage, the team carefully restored the original Victorian framework while introducing contemporary brickwork and striking red seamed‑cladding extensions. This approach expands the hub’s capacity and creates a visually appealing contrast between traditional architecture and modern design.
The upgraded facility now offers a significantly enhanced range of amenities, including a welcoming community café supported by a fully equipped training kitchen, dedicated arts and music rooms, and a large multi‑use sports hall with an adjoining gym area. Together, these spaces broaden the hub’s operational reach and provide young people with opportunities to develop practical life skills, explore creative interests and engage in a wide variety of recreational activities.
